Storage and delivery

Protect the material and prepare an accurate shipment

From receipt through any short holding period before dispatch, material needs suitable packaging and clear identification. We review applicable handling requirements, check quantities and documents, and coordinate the receiving and transport arrangements agreed for the order.

During short holding periods before dispatch, keep packaging, part and lot identification and material status clear. Shipment checks cover protection, quantities, documents and the receiving arrangements agreed for the order.

Handling that respects the component’s requirements

For material held briefly before dispatch, keep the existing protective packaging intact and distinguish goods awaiting checks from those cleared for shipment.

ESD protection

Use handling and packaging suited to the component’s electrostatic sensitivity. Check that the relevant protection is maintained when material is inspected, moved or prepared for shipment.

Moisture-sensitive material

Review the moisture-sensitive packaging information and visible seal condition where applicable. Any additional handling or treatment is discussed against the actual material and order requirements.

Part, lot and status identification

Keep labels and packaging associated with the correct material. Different parts, lots and order allocations remain distinguishable, together with whether the material is awaiting checks or cleared for shipment.

Check the goods, the order and the documents together

Part numbers and quantities

Compare the prepared parts and quantities with the confirmed shipment. Partial deliveries show what is included and what remains to be supplied.

Packaging and labels

Check the agreed pack format and protective packaging. Labels and identifiers need to remain legible and useful for the customer’s receiving process.

Documents and open issues

Confirm that the supplied records refer to the material being sent. Resolve or agree the handling of any outstanding difference before the affected shipment proceeds.
